First trimester - what did you eat today

Make me feel better please! Pre-pregnancy, I didn’t really eat UPF and had a really healthy diet…how things have changed!

This is lighthearted btw - I just think it’s funny how pregnancy can completely change your food tastes.

What did you eat today/how has your diet changed?

Today I had:

breakfast: crunchy nut (vomited up 10 minutes later)
lunch: a chicken sandwich on white bread
dinner: a share packet of crisps
snack: some grapes

vegetables: 0
fruit: 1

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

The first trimester is horrible🤣
I remember eating a lovely omlette that i made it was cheese and bacon with some sweet chilli sauce, i threw that up half an hour later.
Good luck with the rest of the first trimester it does get easier! X

Well, to make you feel better I'm not even pregnant and have just had Ben and Jerry's for tea 😂 tomorrow I'll eat normally, today I didn't.

I'm 13 weeks so almost second trimester but I'm still sick so diet is still limited!
Breakfast - Weetabix
Lunch - cheese and pickle sandwich ( I have this every single day!)
Snacks - salt and vinegar crisps and an apple
Tea - mashed potato and gravy!
Can't wait til I can eat proper food again! 😂

PoppyPeaches · 02/09/2025 19:28

I had 3 cheese straws for breakfas, a packet of ready salted kettle chips with cream cheese and cucumber sticks for lunch, and melted cheese on toast for tea pretty much every day for 6 weeks…… I normally eat little to no UPF food! Thankfully I’m now back to normal, but it was strange times 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Superscientist · 02/09/2025 19:32

Pregnancy 1 - tinned peaches, salt and vinegar crisps, hot water and honey
Pregnancy 2 - cherry tomatoes, celery, cuppa soup and smoothie. Couldn't tolerate food but thick liquids were ok
Pregnancy 3 - Bovril on toast or Nutella on toast tiny sips of liquid. Food was ok but liquids were a no no
Pregnancy 4 - fairly normal diet

Bowl of lentil soup and half a loaf of olive bread 😂

This is amazing and has made me feel much better 😂. I must try cheese straws for breakfast. What week did you start wanting to eat normally again?

This sounds tasty! Are you struggling to eat much? Some days I could eat a horse and others I can’t face food at all

I'm 7+5 and yesterday I had:

Brekkie - Porridge with berries, raisins etc
Lunch -Beans on toast with egg
Cucumber and cheese snack (cucumber is my craving ATM)
Half a small cookie with my friend
Dinner - Spaghetti Bolognese

I'm not really eating weirdly at the mo but on Sunday I had a grazing day and just wanted watery fruit and veg like cucumber, melon etc.

This sounds really good!! I know what you mean about grazing bits and watery fruit, I’ve been having a lot of snacky plates and watermelon has never tasted so good!

Oh wow this really hit at the perfect time (Week 9!).

Yesterday I had -
Breakfast: Cereal and some grapes
Snack: Some nuts
Lunch: Half a leftover jacket potato with coleslaw
Snack: Cucumber (no dip haha)
Snack 2: A slice of garlic bread
Dinner: Nothing. It made me feel sick!

Not the best, not the worst. Just getting through day by day and counting my lucky stars that fruit and raw veg is appealing.

Cucumber is my craving too! I have three in the fridge!!

@YourSpryOrca I have to try and limit myself to one bag a day or I'd be eating them all the time! I don't know why they help the nausea so much?! Same with cheese and pickle for me, must be the vinager in them!
