Weird bladder issue

I keep on getting this funny feeling when I am sitting in certain positions. Kind of like a cold and sensitive feeling which seems to be coming from my urethra which feels like I want to pee. It's not constant though and only happens when I am sitting on the sofa with my legs up. I'm hoping it's not a bladder infection but is the baby kicking my bladder-what do you lot think?

How pregnant are you and is your baby generally kicking?

How long have you had it? May want to rule out a urinary tract infection. Ask mw to send off your next wee sample. Although if it is only in certain positions it may well be baby.

It might be the baby kicking, but with me, that feels much more like a sudden, uncomfortable feeling which goes just as quickly. What you describe sounds really like my symptoms during first pregnancy, in which I had frequent urinary irritations. Try drinking loads of water and cranberry to flush yourself through and get your midwife to check if symptoms not gone v soon.

I have SPD and it often feels like I have a urine infection sometimes - do you have any pain when walking or spreading your legs eg climbing up onto things, or turning over in bed at night?

Tess321 · 31/05/2008 21:16

F&Z yes I have a lot of pain turning over in bed but spreading my legs and walking is not painful. I had very bad back problems a couple of months ago but was never diagnosed with SPD, I was told that there was an issue with my sacroiliac joint.

Madmouse: yes the baby is generally kicking.

TNP: yes I will do as you suggest

thanks all

xx

I would have another check for SPD as pain turning over in bed is a classic symptom and as I say, I often feel like I have a urine infection when it is just the pelvic pain

if you know you have it, you can lessen the likelihood of it getting bad, so it's worth checking

they could take a urine sample at same time and check for urine infection?

hope it all sorts out
