Dye stealer?

Is this a dye stealer or a normal test? I mean to take the digital test telling you how many weeks I am but in my half asleep haze I did the wrong one and when I went to do it there was a test error so have to get a new one and try tomorrow now 😞

That's a good strong postive test OP. You don't need to do a digital, not sure why you would?

You've been a bit obsessed with the dye stealers and said yesterday you were going to stop testing. I think that would be a good idea!

GreenAndWhiteStripes · 02/09/2025 06:40

Why do you need a dye stealer OP? It's positive which is what matters.

firsttimepregnanthelp · 02/09/2025 06:43

@Endofmynoopyi wanted to do the weeks one to see how far I am, there was this in the packet and used it instead - did the weeks one but it came with an error message

@GreenAndWhiteStripesmy others were dye stealers, if this isn’t then hcg is dropping

Just use LMP date to see how far you are, that's all they'll use for booking in appts until your dating scan anyway.

firsttimepregnanthelp · 02/09/2025 06:49

@EndofmynoopyI have irregular cycles so lmp
was ages ago 😞

But you know what DPO you are, so you can use that instead

I think I am 4+5 but hard to pinpoint ovulation exactly. Wish I hadn’t accidentally done this bloody test!

Having a lighter test does NOT mean HCG is dropping. Tests are all different even the same brand can have different amounts of dye. And the more pregnant you get apparently tests get lighter (hook effect). Please stop testing! It will only stress you out.

firsttimepregnanthelp · 02/09/2025 11:50

@Wednesdayonlinethank you, all the advice online is different. I think I’m a bit early for the hook effect but agree that I need to stop testing. Some people
say the line should still be getting darker

With kindness, this is your third (??) post about this now. These tests can't tell you anything other than that you are pregnant. Stop testing.
