Cramping and spotting- IVF pregnancy

i’m just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. I am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant (IVF) and I had cramps and spotting (light pink that turned to brown quite quickly) on Tuesday. This lasted until Wednesday then again on Thursday evening I wiped and seen light pink blood which quickly turned to brown. I’ve been fine all weekend and then again today at work it started again.

All three times I’ve experienced this I have been on my feet a lot more. Tuesday was a wedding, Thursday was dog training and today was at work. Is this a coincidence?

My clinic has brought my scan forward to this Friday but have said they’re not overall concerned as the blood turns brown quickly but I can’t help my mind going into overdrive!

Hey lovely, this happened to me around the same time and I went to the early pregnancy unit where they did bloods a scan and we could see the bleed on the scan so they put me in bed rest at home and told me to do minimal because if a big gush of blood came it may bring the baby with. She’s now 3.5 so don’t worry too much! 💜

Same happened to me, IVF pregnancy too. I had spotting on and off for about 8 weeks, my clinic moved my scan forward too but weren't too concerned as it can be normal. They couldn't find out why but I do have cervical ectropion so that might have been the reason.

The spotting stopped and I'm 27 weeks now. Fingers crossed for you 😊

I've had this quite a bit through my IVF pregnancy so far, I'm 16+1 and all looking fine with the baby. I've had a subchorionic haematoma, or possibly 2 different ones, that has caused spotting/bleeding basically from the moment I got the positive test until 8 weeks, then went away till nearly 14 weeks and came back with a bang (woke up bleeding bright red). They're more common in ivf pregnancies, I've been told not a problem generally and just resolve eventually. Def get a scan when you can to rule out anything else, but bleeding does sound very common without necessarily being an issue, esp if no pain

Thank you everyone! It’s definitely helped ease my mind a little. Keeping everything crossed for Friday ❤️

I had bleeding at 5 weeks 5 days, and quite a bit of bleeding and spotting for the next few weeks. Each time was very stressful, but the scans showed nothing wrong. I was told it was "common, but not normal"! I'm now almost 14 weeks. Good luck for your scan x

I had the same, I’d initially had 2 embryos put back, and it was the one that didn’t take coming away. Wish one of the nurses at the clinic had told me this was likely the case though, as my anxiety was through the roof (round 8 for us, and 1st time I’d been pregnant). She is hopefully asleep now, first day of year 1 tomorrow :-)
