How soon after your cesarean did you conceive?
Was your pregnancy smooth?
How was your delivery?
Any complications?

TIA

I conceived 2 years and 5 months after my first c section.

Second pregnancy was ok (some nausea in first trimester) until I got to third trimester and had breathing problems due to position of baby.

Second c section went fine with no complications.

First c section was emergency, second was planned.

I’ve had three c-sections. I got pregnant two years after my first and 5 months after my second. I am also pregnant now with what will be the fourth another 2 years later. Pregnancies post section have all been fine with minor symptoms-nausea, tiredness etc mainly in the first trimester. No complications but I’d say the second one was the most painful one in terms of recovery but still not bad. All scheduled at 39+1 (first due to breech baby, second by choice and third because of having two previous it was recommended) I actually went into labour at 37 weeks with my third after getting a sickness bug off the kids so they classed that section as an emergency (but it really didn’t feel like one). Lucky to have had all positive experiences and would absolutely advocate for c/sections for anybody who feels like that’s the choice for them ☺️

3 sections too, first emergency after being a week overdue, few hours of labour, meconium in the waters then distress

Second very calm planned section, surgeon said "it's like a paddling pool in there" (polyhydramnios)

Third also planned, but was having some contractions.

Sorry, 3 years in-between each.

Sophie3003 · 07/09/2025 07:08

3 years after, no issues or complications with a straightforward VBAC

No problem with conception, polyhydramnios with second, gestational diabetes with third (in hindsight probably second too despite the normal gtt)

I got pregnant 12 months after an emergency C-section, I had no issues and opted for a C-section again, healing was more painful the second time as apparently I had a lot of internal scar tissue from the first

I’m 24 weeks pg with second baby, got pregnant 1 year after my first csection which was planned, conceived first cycle. Not sure whether to have another section or a Vbac yet. First was planned due to a v small baby.

2 years and a month between pg
I had hyperemisis again, but that has nothing to do with c section
I tried for VBAC, but actually had a uterine rupture, lost a litre of blood, and had a crash section under GA.

2nd pregnancy 2.5 years after first. Had c section due to being breech, undetected and all a bit of a rush.. Was strongly advised to have a normal delivery second time round but waters broke with no further action. Was advised to have c section due to having scar tissue from first and induction may tear it. Much calmer tho still unplanned.
