Stretching in Ectopic Pregnancy

I recently had an ectopic pregnancy that was treated with Methotrexate. Before it was confirmed as ectopic I felt lots of stretching in my uterus as I have done in my previous pregnancies. I have Googled this and it only refers to the fallopian tubes stretching, but this was definitely in my uterus. I also had round ligament pain when I sneezed. So I wanted to see whether anyone else experienced stretching sensations in their uterus or RLP in an ectopic pregnancy?

I have doubts in my mind about the diagnosis as they based it on HCG levels in the end rather than scan results and so I keep going over it in my mind as I wonder how I could feel my uterus stretching if implantion wasn't in my uterus, hence my wondering if anyone else did.

What did they see on the scan?

@JuniperandI they saw something they thought was the sac but the second sonographer said she thought it was just fluid.

But where did they see it? Ectopic is because of incorrect location growth

If it was in your uterus it wasn't ectopic

@JuniperandIthe stretching or the fluid?

I had this w first pregnancy - pain was so bad they wanted to investigate for ectopic pregnancy. The think it was the ligaments or tummy stretching and mine were very strong so it was v painful.

They saw the sac in your uterus so that's not ectopic.

Have they already medicated you?

But the second opinion said it wasn't a sac but fluid. She then confirmed ectopic and I was treated with Methotrexate.

My question is whether anyone who has had an ectopic pregnancy felt stretching in their uterus.

I can't answer your question unfortunately.

But I would certainly be looking for file notes etc as anything in your uterus is not ectopic. By definition ectopic is a growth outside of the uterus only.
