Is this implantation bleeding

My period is 27 days late and I’ve been bleeding like this on and off for 2 days now

Unlikely. Implantation bleeding is normal when implantation happens which is around the time your period is due.

Have you taken a pregnancy test? If it’s negative you’re unlikely to be pregnant. Although it is possible if you’ve fully missed a period but ovulated again since then you could have a new pregnancy from this cycle not the last cycle if you’ve had unprotected sex in the past 2 weeks or so.

I actually checked the other day when my ovulation would be if I started my period and it would’ve just ended, I’ve not done any tests the only thing is I had my bloods took by the doctors and they had to put me on folic acid tablets as my folic acid system was low

Hi OP. The only way to know is to take a preg test the day after. My implantation bleed looked exactly the same as my monthly pre-period spotting. 100% the same. The only difference was that the next day, I tested positive on a preg test because my period was due then and it was also my clinic’s test day for me as I had IVF. So whenever I see photos of spotting/bleed on forums asking if it’s period coming or implantation, I would usually say that there is no way to tell because they looked exactly the same in my personal experience.

I also get my periods really really bad to the point sometimes I can be sick so im sure if it was my period I would know, it’s just strange becsuse it happened randomly

Well I’d advise taking a test to start off with. If you were pregnant from your last cycle it will be negative. If you’ve only just ovulated in the last couple of days it won’t be positive and it won’t be implantation bleeding either.

Basically, take a test. If it’s negative take another one in 2 weeks. If that’s also negative then you’re definitely not pregnant.
