Feeling down..

18 weeks pregnant and feeling totally lost and down.
I only get paid one week sick of leave with my job and this month I’ve had to take so much time off sick due to vomiting, migraines and just feeling generally rubbish. So this pay check alone I’ve lost £500 of pay.
I only get paid SMP so I’m trying to save every penny until I go off in December. My plan was to save 5-6k before baby comes but I’m nowhere near that. Honestly I’m stressing about how we’re going to survive on mat leave as my partners salary only just covers the mortgage and bills.
I am now having to go into work when I don’t feel physically or mentally well enough because I just can’t afford to be off, which probably isn’t good for the baby.
I should be excited but all I feel is stressed and panicky about money. Most of my pregnant friends get paid in full for 6 months of mat leave, and get 6 months sick leave. I can’t help but be jealous of their situations as they don’t have to worry about anything 😢

I don’t know what the point of this post I just needed to whine.

I’m sorry you’re struggling OP, it is really hard.

Practically speaking, have you spoken with your midwife about your symptoms? There are actually quite a few different medications you can take for these things and you can try until you find one that works for you, I suffered with sickness in my first pregnancy and once we found the right medication it was really a huge change.
