Hi ladies!

My head is completely scrambled and hopefully
looking for some postive stories.
Ive had 5 recurrent miscarriages and pregnant again for the 6th time. I’m on Cyclogest and low dose asprin.
I had an early scan booked for today due to my history, I have posted another thread but I also have had some bleeding the past 2 days.
I went in fearing the worst. After what felt like forever they told me they could see 2 sacs, but one measured 5w1d and another 5w2d.
I am in shock!! But also worried how behind they seem to be measuring?😞 can this be normal this early? I have had one pregnancy measuring 1 week behind and I miscarried so I am fearing the worst but would be a miracle if we could bring these babies home ❤️
Thank you x

When did you get a positive pregnancy test?

Steffi12 · 27/08/2025 12:32

@DownWhichOfLate
so I had my first positive on the 30th of July. It’s was there but also quite faint, fainter than I’d had in previous pregnancies at what I thought was 10dpo. It was on an easy at home test which has a threshold of 10hcg and and early clear blue digital.
Its making me wonder if I did ovulate late and ovulated 2 eggs could I have gotten that faint positive due to there being 2 and so hcg was higher? But not being as far along as I thought if that makes sense?
Im not sure if I’m just clutching at straws as my head says measuring 2 weeks behind is just too much.
The ultrasonographer did have a little bit of trouble as my uterus is tilted so again unsure if that has any baring, again I think I’m just looking for any hope x

30th July was four weeks ago. So if you’re measuring 5 weeks that would mean having had a positive test before you had ovulated, if you see what I mean? It could be the measurements are incorrect, but you should be at least 7 weeks then there should be a heartbeat. I’m sorry, but it doesn’t look too hopeful unfortunately 😢

ShowMighty · 27/08/2025 13:05

I do agree that it doesn’t sound good unfortunately. With a positive test on 30th July you must be at least 7 weeks now. Even with late ovulation you’d be 7 weeks. The absolute earliest people tend to get a positive test is 7dpo. So even if you were 7dpo on 30th July you’d be 7 weeks now. Obviously some people will have positive stories that are similar, but in my opinion I’d be prepared for the worst unfortunately.

Thank you for your reply ❤️
I can totally see what your saying and I do feel that measuring 2 weeks behind is just too much and doesn’t really add up 😓 x

Do you have another scan booked? Or could you request blood tests? It’s horrible not knowing what is going on x

Steffi12 · 27/08/2025 13:20

@DownWhichOfLate so they booked me in for another scan in a weeks time which is going to feel like torture. I did actually think about blood tests before but I forgot to ask. My head says to prepare for the worst😞x

I had a twin pregnancy and this happened with mine, they measured small the entire pregnancy and were delivered early by c section. Won't lie it was bloody stressful but I now have 2x 6 year olds, perfectly healthy. It's just too early to say how it's going to go but don't give up hope yet hon. Good luck xx

Hi @Steffi12, I hope it's ok to ask how things fared for you in this pregnancy? In a similar predicament. Hope all is ok xx
