Hi,

I’m around 5 weeks pregnant with baby #2, following a miscarriage in March. I’ve had a couple of losses around the 8-10 weeks mark in the past

I’ve just been told about an upcoming role at work that will be advertised in the coming weeks and that I would be a great candidate for it. It’s something I’d love to move into and it’s at the same company. But I feel guilty if I went for it and then had to tell them I was pregnant and would be taking 9/10 months off. At the same time there’s a possibility I could lose this pregnancy in the next couple of weeks

I also tried to move into a different role before and my current boss was desperate to keep me on board and has been accommodating with flexibility/made it known how crucial I am to the team ever since

What would you do in this situation?

I would apply for the job.
