Give me hope after multiple chemicals

Hi everyone, all I seem to be doing at the moment is constantly searching previous posts for stories similar to mine hoping to find success stories to stop me from spiralling into a black hole.

I have recently turned 37 and I am very lucky to have 2 precious healthy children, however my heart longs to add one more to the mix. In between my first two pregnancies I did have a 10 week missed marriage and an earlier loss at 7 weeks. However this time around in 6months of ttc I have had 4 very early chemical pregnancies all of them ending when my period is due or ever so slightly after. I seem to get a positive line at 8DPO but it never seems to get stronger and lingers around for a few days and then disappears.

This last cycle I actually took baby aspirin from ovulation and progesterone from 3DPO
but exact same thing happened. I have had a blood test under an NHS recurrent loss clinic but I haven’t had the results and I’m unsure exactly what was screened. I have however recently had an internal ultrasound showing no structural problems and I have a good AMH level.

As desperate as I am to grow our family further if I am honest I don’t think I can put myself and my husband through a labyrinth of tests etc etc, I guess I just want to understand if anyone else has experienced anything similar and if sheer perseverance paid off in the end…I’ll likely stick with the asprin/progesterone combination and I also take the ‘ovum’ supplement which includes folate, vit D and coQ10 etc.

Please please please miracle persistence rainbow stories very much needed xxx

I'm sorry you're going through this, it's so tough 😞 I can only tell you my experience, I had two chemicals before this pregnancy and was really losing hope as we'd been trying for a while and I wasn't getting any younger at 39. I then tried acupuncture in May, thought it was worth a shot. Didn't think it would do much but I found out I was pregnant in June!! I'm now 12 weeks and I do think it made the difference. I was also given some herbal tablets along side the acupuncture and it's this that I believe really helped (like it reset my body or something!). So I would recommend having a look into it if you can afford it, it is very expensive! But was worth it for me x

@Pennyroses thank you for your reply, I’m really sorry you went through difficulties too and I’m so happy you are on a positive journey now. I have looked into acupuncture so I might give it some more serious through. After 4 chemicals I am starting to have really negative thoughts that this just isn’t going to happen for me unless I go through months of/ years of tests and pushing to get answers and the thought of that is daunting

@Sparkle880 I honestly completely understand. I was so stressed and thinking of trying IVF and had even had an appointment at the fertility specialist. I paid £250 just for him to tell me we didn't need any extra help as I was clearly getting pregnant ok 🙄 he just said next time I get a positive test (which was coincidentally 2 weeks later) to take progesterone straight away which I did this time. I tested positive at 10 dpo and was really lucky to get the progesterone at 12 dpo so I'm not sure if that also helped. You would need to have a private fertility appointment to get this though, the GPs don't prescribe it. Good luck I really hope you get your happy ending very soon 🤞🏼

Thank you, I’m glad it worked for you. I had my 4th loss while on progesterone and also aspirin so feel like I have no idea where to go next 😢

Don't give up hope. I know that's easily said but you're still young enough and you have time yet! My friend had 2 mmcs and 3 chemicals before she got pregnant with her current baby, she's 38 weeks now! She too was giving up hope and was adamant this one wouldn't work out but it did. Good luck 🤞🏼
