Tinzaparin daily injections - when to stop?

Hello,

i am currently on daily aspirin and daily blood thinner injections and wondering when I need to stop them? The last doctor said to not take them when I think I’m going into labour however reading online has freaked me out as it said during labour I have more chance of bleeding and can’t have epidural and if a c section is needed I’ll have to be put asleep. Proper freaked me out! :(

has anybody ever stopped them early?

This sounds to me like a question you should be discussing with your Dr, not taking a poll online.

Anaesthetist. You'll be told nearer term. If you're having an elective section you'll get a specific date, if going for normal delivery x weeks. If you're only on a preventative dose you can have a spinal (awake section) or epidural after 12h have passed (24h If its the higher dose for treating a current blood clot). Try not to worry tons of women are on it and it's rarely an issue (if you start labouring just after a dose we have many alternative pain options

Thank you for your kind reply. They did seem very chilled when they last told me to just not take my dose if I think I’m having contractions, I am on a very light dose! Thank you xx
