Subchorionic Hematoma at 12 weeks

ive been diagnosed with a Subchorionic Hematoma but the dr has been very vague only advising growth scans from 28 weeks. She said it’s likely to resolve on its own so they will not rescan.

i was gushing out bright red blood one afternoon but days later it is now brown discharge which im sure is a good sign.

my concern is the hematoma is 53x38x16mm in comparison to a 12 week gestational sack. For reference at 11 weeks 6 days my baby was 52mm. I was diagnosed with the hematoma at 12weeks2 days.

im just worried this is on the large side and therefore the odds are not with me

has anyone else been through this?

I had one, can't remember how many weeks. Bleeding coincided with me running so I laid off that for a while but it resolved itself no problem. Don't recall anyone telling me how bit it was, was just told they usually resolve themselves.

Mine was probably a bit bigger than yours and was found at 12+5 agter a hyge gush of bloodm resolved around 16 weeks. I had a lot of brown discharge, i had to keep wearing panty liners.
Im now 28 weeks pregnant, and all is going well😁

So pleased your pregnancy is going well! Did they do any additional scans for you?

No they refuse to do extra scans for you even if you have a large haematoma.
Think its all due to funding and staffing.
I went back to EPAU maybe once because i didnt expect to be bleeding for so long. So when i had the brown bleeding for like 4/5 weeks i went to have a check up and i only had his heart beat listened to, no scan to check the haematoma. Was very strange, but it was nice knowing i could listen to his heartbeat💙

Ive also realised theres a lot of spelling mistakes in the other post😅
My nails have grown massively and im not used to trying to type with them🤣

I had one with my first daughter. I bleed all the colours of the rainbow until about 18 weeks. My GP signed me off work and told me to go on bed rest including pelvic rest ( no sex at all). I was also told to exercise but laying down in the bed so the blood continued to move around. I did this until about 20 weeks. It is unconventional brcause bed rest is no loger recommended in pregnancy but after 7 years of fertility treatment this pregnancy was my last try.
