Hello! I unfortunately suffered a late missed miscarriage and still waiting for the post mortum report. During my labour process I had bloods and my T4 and TSH levels were elevated but not flagged as was having alot of hormones pumped into me.

I'm now pregnant again soon after my miscarriage and have been diagnosed with a under active thryoid, when I was 6 weeks pregnant. This is a high risk pregancy and now I'm even more anxious that the thyroid will cause problems.

I'm on 100mg of levothyroxine and under a endocrin consultant and being monitored.

Just looking for reassurance that will my baby's brain development be affected during the time it wasn't under control.

Similar situation here. Started the Eltroxin again when my second pregnancy was confirmed. But I wasn’t on it between the miscarriage & new pregnancy (a few years). All went well.

I have hypothyroidism, my tsh and t4 went up in the first trimester and dosage had to be whacked up, DD is absolutely fine. As long as it’s controlled it’s ok and 6 weeks is still early. I really wouldn’t worry OP and congratulations! Make sure they do regular blood tests though.

Very sorry for your loss. I had two losses before being diagnosed with hypo, my 3rd pregnancy I was on levothyroxine and saw a few consultants, classed as high risk but wasnt really sure why. Everything went fine, no issues with baby. Same in my last pregnancy too. Good luck ❤️
