Hey!

I’ve started colostrum collecting today into syringes, I do want to give this to baby but also formula feed. Is this okay to do! I particularly don’t want to breast feed but want to give the colostrum/liquid gold alongside formula to begin with. How do you defrost the syringes? Do you just leave them in the fridge then give to baby cold? Thank you!!!

Hi!
so when you go to give birth you can actually take them with you straight from the freezer and give them to the midwives as soon as you get there! They will defrost them for you when baby is ready to feed.
At home, you can either defrost in the fridge over night or you can put the syringe in a bowl of warm water if you need it quicker :)
