Fit Bit Resting Heart Rate Dropping

Long story short: I’m 40, been TTC for 16 years, I’ve had 6 miscarriages (MMC, 2x MC, 2x PULs and a Complete Molar) I have no living children so I hope you can appreciate why I’m on edge.

I’m currently 6w4d and I can see my resting heart rate is dropping. Normally when I see this it’s a sign the pregnancy is going downhill and I’m going to miscarry but of course as I have no success stories, I don’t know if “normal” early pregnancies it goes down with as well?

one thing I notice is when I lose a little weight it drops and I have lost a pound or two but I don’t know if I’m grasping at straws. Can anyone help please?

Not currently pregnant and didn't measure my heart rate in pregnancy, but I've lost weight and my resting heart rate is now about 55 bpm. So it definitely could be that. Best of luck, really hoping this is your time ❤️

Thanks @Springadorable- I’ve lost 4 stone and now my usual resting is around 54-56 so this is definitely elevated for me but it’s just the dropping. If I remember I’ll update this post in a few weeks with whatever the outcome is so if others wonder the same they can find out what happened

Really hoping that it's not an ominous sign and just your body adjusting xx

RHR is definitely impacted by hormones. I know mine rises before a period and then drops as soon as my period starts for example. So I imagine in pregnancy when hormones are fluctuating it's normal to see changes in RHR.
Best of luck to you

Just wanted to reassure you that the exact same thing happened to me at 6 weeks- my RHR had shot up from a pre pregnancy rate of 63 to 73, and then it went down to 61 at the start of week 6 and stayed there. I was certain something was wrong, but a scan at 7 weeks showed all was well and my heart rate had shot back up again now in week 9.

@Melsy88thank you! I’ve always looked at it for my periods since I’ve been TTC for so long and it really is glaringly obvious isn’t it? Really hoping it’s just me getting a little fitter.

@scott2609thank you for this! I REALLY appreciate it and it’s helped a lot 💕 it’s been a rollercoaster few weeks as I wait to see if this one is finally my baby or not. I know people would say “don’t check it” but between early scans it’s become something I’ve always looked at. Hoping it starts to rise. What is yours gone up by at week 9?
