Just a quick one to see if someone could help
iv had on an off ligament pain the past few weeks however early hours it woke me up and I was really struggling with the pain .. wasn’t sure if I had moved suddenly in bed ect
baby is extremely active today which is lovely but not quite helping with the pain
iv called in sick to work .. first time for a pregnancy symptom, im just wondering if this will be marked as a pregnancy related sickness or normal .. my work are aware im pregnant currently nearly 23 weeks
this is all abit new to me and dont want to end up in trouble with my job with sickness triggers ect
thankyou from a very tired in pain lady who is possibly from the feel of it growing the next kick-boxer

If you’ve explicitly told them it’s due to ligament pain as a result of your pregnancy, it should definitely go down as ‘pregnancy related.’ It’ll be a separate absence to any other regular ones you’ve had previously, so won’t add to your record. Just relax and don’t stress about it, you’re entitled to the time if you genuinely need it!

Thank you
yes I called explained i had been up since early morning with ligament pain and my manager said not to worry but advised I call the midwife just to be on the safe side so they know it’s ligament pain related to the baby .. I have developed a new stress over everything at the moment 😳

I went off with PGP. That was what was on my sick note ( I was off for longer). The GP did check what I wanted on it - if it would impact my mat leave pay/start she would have written pelvic girdle pain and not mentioned pregnancy. Like you for policy purposes I needed it to specify pregnancy related or it might have triggered an attendance meeting. Once its pregnancy related there shouldn't be an issue x There's so much going on between ligament pain, pgp, heartburn, morning sickness etc sometimes you just have to be off 🤷‍♀️
