Is anyone else going through the same problem? I've been up for the past 2 hours and can't seem to get back to sleep for the will of trying. Constant blocked up nose, though window is wide open, fidgity, just restless. Roll on the next 5 weeks!!

I am 33 weeks & can sympathise [sp]! Although it is 2pm here in Australia, the last few nights have been awful!

I have just started to suffer from Carpal tunnel syndrome, which should go away once baby is here, but it results in intense pins & needles/mild burining sensation during the night if I so much as have my hand in the wrong place!

Then I am left with an ache for the rest of the day! But that & SPD & needing to pee all the time are annoying to say the least! Oh & then there is the trapped wind, which ALWAYS makes itself known at night!

I am over it!

I am 34 weeks and have been awake for over an hour too! Is not like me as I usually sleep v heavily - esp when pg. Hope this does not continue until the end.

Have already had breakfast and don't want to make too much noise or my DD will wake - she is a light sleeper. Can't deal with toddler entertainment this early!

I'm only 21 weeks, but I wake up at 4am every morning now.... I just thought it was my body's way of preparing for never sleeping properly again :-)

bigboydiditandranaway · 30/05/2008 07:49

sketchi if i had stayed up an extra 20mins i could have had a chat with you!

I think i'm 31weeks and seem to wake up nearly every other night at the moment, this time i was hungry so had my breakfast at 3.20am

i think i would sleep better if dh kept his hands to himself, apparantly when he's asleep they wonder sometimes

Sketchi · 30/05/2008 10:19

Oh my god I've found people like me! I swear I was by myself in all of this and would have loved a chat if anyone was up at the same time.

I'll make sure next time I'm up I'll have a look to see if any of you has posted a thread at the time i'm on. You never know it could be early hours of tommorrow morning....DD1 is going into bed for first time tonight....I just know it'll be a complete nightmare!

Hope you have a better sleep tonight x

roseability · 08/05/2009 13:59

I am 36 weeks. I wake up at 4-5 am most mornings, then struggle to get back to sleep. My DS is an early riser so I am very irritable with the hormones and the tiredness!

You can add me to the list!! I'm 33 weeks pregnant and have been having problems sleeping for the last few weeks. This last week I haven't had one night where I've fallen asleep before 4am. Things that keep me awake or wake me up: thoughts, dreams concerning labour or the baby, aches and pain, my heavy tummy, kicking, hunger, needing to wee, the list goes on!!! Gets our bodies are getting use to lack of sleep, but come on!!!
