Kingston Hospital Maternity Recent Experience?

I’m due to have my first baby in December at Kingston and wanted to know your recent experience please? Both natural and planned c section births? Are there any private options? How likely is it to get a private room post birth? Any advice or suggestions would be super helpful too - From a very anxious first time mum to be! xxx

I had a very good experience and got my own room post birth (turned out to be such a relief as my baby had feeding difficulties and we stayed 5 nights!). Not everyone gets a private room but you're more likely to at Kingston than at other hospitals i think

Theres an FB group called "Wimbledon Mummy Network" and there's loads of posts about Kingston on there even if you dont live in Wimbledon. Worth joining and having a read. I had my two DC at St Georges but ive heard the same as pp's experience - there are lots of private rooms so its more likely there than at other hospitals. The only thing to bear in mind is that Kingston doesn't have a level 3 NICU so if baby is very prem or poorly / any medical issues, you will be transferred to St Georges for care.
