Hi, this is my first ever post just looking for any advice or success stories from anyone who has also gone through this.

I found out Friday that I am pregnant then Sunday had a bleed, I’ve been for a scan today to be told I have a haematoma which is what is causing the bleeding and there is a 4mm fetal pole visible but the gestational sac is irregular shape and low down.
We have been told to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
I have been put onto progesterone as I have previously had a miscarriage and also bled with my daughter who is now 6 which is giving me the slightest of hopes but was wondering if anyone has also had anything similar to this and had a positive outcome or was it correct to assume the worst?

Grateful for any feedback good or bad, thank you x

Sorry you're going through this uncertainty, do you have a repeat scan in 1-2 weeks?

I had similar with my recent twin pregnancy where both had irregular sac and one had a small pole and no heartbeat and unfortunately it ended up being a missed miscarriage. However, whilst going through the agonising 2 week wait to confirm this, I read lots of positive stories of people who had irregular sac and went back and saw a healthy baby, so it definitely is possible.

Wishing you all the best x

@PBandJellySandwich
Thank you for your reply, sorry you have also been through this and hope you are doing ok.

Yeah I have to go back on the 1st September for another scan to see how things are progressing but I just have this feeling of dread it’s not going to be good news. It’s such a scary feeling knowing it is totally out of your hands and all you can do is wait which just has my head spinning x
