when is the best week to have a 3d scan done for the sex?

Am 14 weeks and next scan isnt until 21 weeks. Want to book 3d scan in before then to try to find out what it is. Have a 2 yr old ds who is convinced he has a baby sister and i keep saying maybe and he gets upset by that so i want to find out asap for all our sakes. When is the earliest anyone went and found out the sex?

Our 3d scanning place won't do a 3-d scan until after the 21 week one but prefer to do it at 28-30weeks when baby is fully formed and fattening up!. They did however offer a sexing scan at 18 weeks - but for the wait of an extra 2/3 weeks i would wait until your nhs one (if your hospital will tell you the sex)a sexing scan costs £70 at our clinic.

12 weeks, not a 3D scan, regular nuchal - fetal med consultant/OB did my scan. He confirmed the sex at 17 weeks (and again at 23).

PS my daughter (just 2) was convinced for a while she was getting a sister. She didn't take the boy news too badly, but I've felt it really helped to get her used to the idea of a sibling (famous last words...)

One Harley Street practice offers sexing scans from as early as 13 weeks. I was told the earliest time would be 16-17 weeks. Not sure about the 3D scan so early. Though I'm private it wasn't offered. Guess oops is right and that comes later.

3d scans are not until mid to late twenty weeks. Leave it as late as possible as the scan will be much much clearer.
