I'm 36 weeks pregnant and found out I have enterococcus faecalis, as anyone had experience with this? Was the baby okay at birth? My anxiety has gone really high after googling it.

Where do you have it? In your urine? Its a very, very common bacteria and most likely nothing to be worried about.

What from your Google search is worrying?

I'm not a doctor, but I work in a microbiology lab and handle that bug many times a day

It's in my urine. When I googled having this in pregnancy It said it can result in a still birth. Thank you for the reply!

yeah it can cause UTI's, which can cause stillbirth, but don't panic, that's if left untreated and only in a tiny, tiny number of cases. We diagnose this a few times a day in pregnant women and I've never actually heard of a still birth being associated with a UTI, so the overwhelming chances are that both you and your baby will be fine. Speak to your midwife though and they'll sort you out too, best of luck with your new arrival!
