Hi all,

Please be kind.

I know this is really silly to worry about. I had a MMC this year and currently 11 weeks pregnant. Therefore, my anxiety is super high and having OCD does not help.

I went to a fair with my 2 year old today and he really wanted me to go on the train ride with him. It literally was in a circle and went slowly. No sharp bends etc, wasn't fast. My 2 year old loved it, and he wasn't scared at all. This is the first time he's been on anything like that.

When I got off, I saw the sign that said, no pregnant women. Then I started panicking.

I didn't hurt myself, didn't knock myself, wasn't bumpy. Don't know why I'm worrying, I know a lot of women who go on slides/swings and don't think twice either. To be honest, on my way home driving it was more bumpy and sharper turns!

Should I be worrying?

Thank you ❤️

I wouldn't worry at all :) baby will be fine, good luck with your pregnancy

Congratulations OP, and no I wouldn’t worry about this at all! I’m currently 6 months pregnant & have spent my afternoon chasing my wild 1 year old around the park, up & down the slides etc, a smooth and slow train ride will be absolutely fine x

VintageDiamondGirl · 12/08/2025 17:33

It's fine and I understand having felt very scared about going on a boat trip when I was very newly pregnant and following a MC.

SunflowerLife · 12/08/2025 17:35

Aww you'll be fine, don't worry. The sign will be mostly to cover themselves on the off chance that a pregnant woman has an injury and blames them. You didn't injure yourself so you're fine.

You’ll be absolutely fine. As PP said, the signs are to protect themselves from any blame.
Your anxiety is understandable given what you’ve been through to get where you are, but give it another five or six weeks, you’ll have had your first scan and be well into the second trimester then hopefully you can relax more. I’m heavily pregnant at the moment, also with a 2 year old and as is the way of toddlers I’ve been jumped on, climbed on with my belly used as a foothold, kicked, and the worst of all “gently” had my tummy patted as a sign of love for the new baby. It’s a whole other ball game when you have a toddler and you’ll also see that those babies are surprisingly well protected in there. They must be to survive older siblings!

Thank you everyone for your kind replies, they definitely calmed me down! I feel such an anxious mess at the moment. I don't think it helps I have my dating scan on Saturday and my head is all over the place.

Since the MMC scans really scare me and I can feel the anxiety rising! Xx

I went to a funfair with my daughter when i was about 14 weeks and every ride said not suitable for pregnant women. I made my own judgement. I went on a couple of rides which were slowly trundling around in a car but the rides that were more up and down my partner went with her instead. I probably would have been fine even on those rides but had had two miscarriages in the previous 6 months so was more risk adverse ... I'm now 33 weeks.
