Buttock pain left side 24 weeks pregnant

I have woken up this morning with very bad pain on my left side, in my buttock area. It’s making walking very tricky but I have to keep moving as I have two other young children. I’m only 24 weeks pregnant so it’s making me feel very low as I’m worried I will be stuck with it with three months still to go. I’m not sure if it’s sciatica or pelvic girdle pain or something else but I would really appreciate any advice or tips anyone has. Thank you!

Sounds like sciatic nerve to me if it's in your bum area and only one sided.
Stretch helped me, and sciatic flossing. As well as strengthening the muscle in my glute. Had it toward the end of my last pregnancy and for a good year or so after, found it was the worst (as in couldn't move or even sit without pain) when I wasn't doing the things above.
Hopefully it eases off for you soon and doesn't stick around! If it does would highly suggest a physio ( although didn't for myself because im my own worst enemy)

Thank you very much for responding @Echomama. I will read up on it. Sorry to hear you had it too. I really hope it doesn’t last the rest of the pregnancy, let alone after the birth.
