Are these baby movements?

Hello

So I'm 24 weeks with an anterior placenta. I feel what feels like blood pulsing or bubbles by my belly button, then down low by my pelvis next. I thought the low down pulses could be my arteries but I'm not sure? Basically this is my first baby and when the midwives ask me if I've felt baby yet I always say I dunno! The anterior placenta makes me question every feeling 🤨

Yes, it does sound like it. I remember thinking my first baby movements were gas bubbles. As you get more you will get used to recognising the feeling.

Thanks! The big range of movement from my belly button down to my pelvis within seconds of each other seems odd?

Yeah mine felt like little bubbles at the start too. At the start it was only when I was sitting in the car when DP was driving and I wasn’t concentrating on something that I felt them. As time went on they got stronger and more noticeable.

Could depend what position baby is in, and what position they are moving into. You could be feeling elbows and feet at the same time. Congratulations btw, such a magical time

Yes I’d say there’s a very good chance that’s what it is, especially given your gestation.

Eeee I hope that's what they are. Sat here with a leg up (so pushing on my tum a bit) and that seems to make the feeling stronger too 😍

Just updating this incase someone searches for the same thing it in future - they were in fact baby movements, and they've gotten so strong my whole belly moves! Also turns out I've got a very active baby who loves to respond to sounds ❤
