How are you all coping with parenting whilst feeling exhausted and nauseous?? I feel so bad that we arent doing fun things like we used to. Even going to the park is a huge task. I have a few days off a week with my toddler and those days are so hard atm

Sorry for the moan!

I’m now 6 months pregnant with a toddler & my biggest tip would be to try and find something each day that doesn’t require huge amounts of effort from you, but does provide lots of fun for your toddler.

I set up an activity before I go to bed for the morning so a sensory tray, toy basket, stickers, craft etc is ready to go straight away which buys some time in the morning.

I try to get to some kind of activity each day even if that’s just a local playgroup, have a look near you as lots of church hall’s have them and they are fab for your toddler to play while requiring minimal effort from you. Park is a good & easy one especially in this weather, even things like garden play time, trip to swimming pool especially if you have one with a splash pad my toddler could play there all day, play dates with friends, baking etc. I try and get something each day which is just for her for fun & then I feel less guilty about struggling and maybe not being as energetic as I usually would be.

It’s so hard and how you cope depends on your child. My toddler would be much harder work stuck in the house all day than getting out so I really force myself to still go x
