Hi all,

I am pregnant with my second (well third when I count my miscarriage), and my symptoms are so different I am now starting to worry.

I had a scan at 5 weeks to rule out ectopic and saw a heartbeat but this hasn’t reassured me. I am now 7 weeks and a few days and have had limited symptoms, a bit of nausea and sore boobs on and off.

Now I’m panicking because before I first my pregnancy was like this and I miscarried at 7/8 weeks.

then with my son I had horrific morning sickness throwing up from 6.5 weeks and this time nothing.

has anyone had different pregnancies? Is it worth me getting an early scan.

I am so anxious and worried something is wrong.

It’s very early! And all pregnancies are different, even in the same person.

@inappropriateraspberry I know it is, I think it’s because my successful pregnancy I was very sick by this point. I know they all different it’s just hard to have that mindset.

I had hyperemesis with my daughter and two miscarriages. I fell pregnant again a few weeks after my last miscarriage and was 7.5 weeks when I found out I was expecting. I had a little bit of nausea but nothing like the other pregnancies where I was chained to the sofa or toilet by 7 weeks. I'm now 33 weeks! For me symptoms didn't mean a healthy pregnancy nor did lack of symptoms means an unhealthy pregnancy. It has been rather disconcerting!

@Superscientist Thank you for taking the time to reply. I’m sorry about your loses too! I’m trying not to stress and hearing others stories is helping. Congrats on being 30 weeks ☺️

I had absolutely nothing in the way of symptoms (except major bloating that made me look 4 months pregnant) with my second until 10 weeks. Then all the nausea, sore boobs, food aversions, toothbrush gagging, and extreme need for salt and vinegar crisps cropped up for the rest of the first trimester.

The fatigue that also hit at 10 weeks did not disappear, and was there for the entirety of the pregnancy.

RainbowMay13 · 12/08/2025 14:49

@Dyra Yeah I know I’m probably not out of the clear yet! I do have extreme exhaustion and some nausea but at this point in my last pregnancy I was bed bound from vomiting so much so hard to feel nothings wrong!

Congratulations! Just to share some positivity, I’m currently 8 months pregnant with my second baby and genuinely this pregnancy up until I’d say the start of the third trimester I had no symptoms really- other than a bump! I had ALL the symptoms when I was pregnant with my daughter, sickness, headaches, food aversions, sore boobs- you name it I had it. This pregnancy has been the complete opposite but there is indeed a perfectly healthy baby boy just waiting to come meet us in a few weeks. Try to stay positive, although I know that is easier said than done, every pregnancy is different x
