When did everyone buy their first baby outfit / item? I’m 11+1 with baby number 3 and haven’t bought anything yet. I really want to but I’m so nervous for some reason. I’ve had 8 miscarriages. All early. so drs have me on progesterone which I took with my youngest (15m old boy). But I’m still so nervous to buy something lol. When did you all start? What was the first thing you bought? X

I started buying after my 12 week scan only a couple of white things eg. Vests, sleep suits ect and then waited until we found out the sex and then went out a bought more, im now 26 weeks and nearly finished buying everything😅
So maybe after the sex is determined if your finding out or if not just start buying little bits now and then buy more after 20 weeks!

We’re gunna have a gender scan at 16 weeks but it still feels so far away. I feel like having a little white outfit in the house makes it all feel so much more real and exciting doesn’t it 😂xx

I was the extreme end of the spectrum but couldn't buy anything until 26 weeks🙈 I waited so long for my little baby that I just genuinely couldn't believe it was really going to work out and I'd actually have a child at the end of it. I was definitely not the norm though😂 I know a lot of people who go shopping after the anatomy scan when they have reassurance that everything is looking healthy with baby. No right or wrong though, it's whatever sits right with you. Congratulations 🥰

Yeah! It does make it all so real buying things in, like the PP said it can be a struggle. Ive had 3 losses prior to this pregnancy, and knowing i got to 12 weeks i got so happy that i went out and bought some bits just from morrisons🤣
Its always nice to have some white bits in the house, or even gender neutral colours eg. Yellows, creams ect.
I loved it and i love buying things for him now! I cant help myself when i walk past stuff thats cute haha! I made a pact with my MIL that i wouldnt buy anymore clothes and then saw 2 coats and a jumper🤣 pact broken straight away!

Go nuts if you wanted, its all down to personal preference!

I bought something online after our 20 week scan.

I'm expecting number 2 after two losses last year.
I bought a sleepsuits last week at 32 weeks and that's the only thing I've bought. I promised my daughter that I'd take her to the shop so she could pick something for the baby.
I have quite a lot left from when she was a baby and had quite a bit donated from others which has allowed myself to bury my head and not buy anything!
It looks like I might need inducing early so I might need to get a smaller size than my daughter started in but I'll deal with that if it happens!
