Concerned about breast growth during pregnancy

I am 32 weeks pregnant and I’m concerned about how much my breasts have grown during pregnancy. Pre pregnancy I was a D cup and my breasts have almost doubled or probably even more during pregnancy. I really want expecting this to happen and it kind of freaking me out. I am quite short and slim so really struggling to support my breasts at this size and they just look silly compared to the rest of my body. Is this normal? I know it’s normal for them to increase in size during pregnancy but not this much. They are also quite sore. Has anyone else experienced this or know anything about it as feel like I’m the only one? Will they ever go back to how they were pre pregnancy as currently dosent feel like they will at this size.Any help would be appreciated.

Ive seen so many times that peoples boobs grow so big, but they tend to go back down not to pre pregnancy, maybe a cup above pre pregnancy. If your planning to breast feed then they wont go back until you've finished maybe?

I was a 30GG while breastfeeding. I went back down to my normal 28E once I was done. Yes, it's normal for your boobs to get a lot bigger.

What size are you now? Your rib cage gets bigger, pushes your boobs up, you'll retain water ... What is the actual issue?

TeenLifeMum · 10/08/2025 11:08

I had the same. The dress I planned to wear to my brother’s wedding was suddenly indecent due to GG boobs 🙈

went back to my 32 DD/E after both pregnancies.

Mine grew a lot but went back down post pregnancy until perimenopause where they are inflating again.

She states the “actual issue”.

  1. She has a small frame and they’re difficult to support (I assume back and shoulder pain)
  2. They are sore.
  3. She dislikes how they look.

OP, mine grew a fair amount during pregnancy but were MASSIVE during breastfeeding. I also hated it as the size made me really both uncomfortable, both physically and mentally. I think they started to deflate from around 6mo when baby started solids and did eventually go back to their usual size

Omeara · 10/08/2025 12:25

Mine were massive by the time I was 10 weeks pregnant. They did deflate again but I was still a good cup size bigger than pre pregnancy. My feet are half a size bigger too!

Mine grew so much so rapidly that I got stretch marks on them! I went from something like a C cup to a F by the time DD1 arrived.

They have gone down after 2 kids and about 3 years combined of breastfeeding but they’ve also lost a lot of ‘buoyancy’ unfortunately so I’m not sure if they lost much size or just changed shape. Not noticeable in a good bra, but they are quite pendulous when naked. They definitely are very changed from my pre-baby boobs.

My breasts were huge during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I went from a D cup to a JJ.
Once I stopped feeding and lost my baby weight, they went back down. Still a cup size bigger than pre-kids, but not the ridiculous bolt-on melons anymore 😆

mondaytosunday · 10/08/2025 12:58

It’s normal, though mine (c cup) didn’t double in size and they came back down to normal after. Many women though say their babies sucked their breasts dry and are smaller after having them!

Graey · 10/08/2025 13:54

I’m petite and a 28GG before pregnancy 😬
now 38 weeks pregnant and haven’t bothered measuring my bra size (wearing comfy crop tops). But my boobs have always been a self conscious part of me.

I’m hoping post breastfeeding they get smaller than they are 🙏 I think they’ll go down again. Lots of friends and my mum said they had massive boobs but they all reduced back to normal after a few months

just remember your body is changing for your baby and that is incredible.

Melusina123 · 10/08/2025 15:18

OP i feel your pain. I started as a 30G and am up to a 32K. Bad combo with also not being comfortable wearing proper supportive bras - I feel like I look like a pear on a stick with my non-underwired maternity bras. 😔

Happened last time as well. They did go back down to a 30G in between: shrank a lot when I stopped BF and the rest when I got back to the same weight i’d been pre-baby. (Although as another poster has said they did not regain their shape…)

This time I’ve promised myself a breast reduction once I’m done BF because I am finished with these massive knockers.
