Is this the start of labour?

Hey ladies, so I am 36 weeks pregnant today with my 2nd. Today I noticed I have this thick jelly like clear discharge (which ive never had before) and my stomach has been 'tightening' everyday for a couple of days (with no pain or cramps). With my first I didn't go into labour naturally I had to get my waters broken for me so I don't know what happens when you go into labour naturally on your own. I'm just wondering could this be the start of me going into labour? Thanks in advance:)

Potentially but not definitely. It sounds like your mucus plug has come away but that can regenerate so doesn't necessarily mean anything and the tightening without pain is probably Braxton Hicks contractions but could be early contractions. Are they consistent or sporadic?
