I'm so sorry for the graphic image. I am 23 weeks pregnant and the last three days I have had brown/dark brown discharge. I went to the assessment unit yesterday and they did an internal examination but weren't concerned. Also listened to baby's heart beat. Told me nothing to worry about but today I have just had this. I'm more concerned now as it appears black, much darker than before but also has red blood mixed in. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Haven't experienced this however I do believe spotting whether red or dark can be normal in pregnancies. This is what I was told when I was pregnant however if you've been to the hospital and they aren't concerned then I would just continue to enjoy the pregnancy. If it gets worse or you still don't feel 100% then no one will say no to you getting another opinion.

As it's different to when you went into triage last I'd probably give them a call for advice and reassurance. Say you came in the other day when you had the brown discharge, everything was ok but now it's darker and with red blood in it, is this still ok?
