Just want a sense check….is this normal?

38 weeks pregnant and I’ve been lucky to sleep for 10+ hrs per night (up for a pee every few hours).

however I feel so lousy. I need to sleep after just an hour of being awake. I’m drowsy, sleepy and absolutely exhausted.

i have a very bad stomach and feel so nauseous all the time…..going on for about 5 days. I can’t hold anything in! can’t eat much either and terrible acid reflux, heartburn ❤️‍🔥 which isn’t helping.

have others experienced this? I’m a bit worried as it’s almost impossible for me to leave my bed. X

I'm just over 38 weeks and I'm exactly the same! I find forcing myself out for a short walk every day really helps and drinking plenty of water. But ultimately if your body needs sleep, it needs sleep!

Thanks for replying 💓 I was a bit worried it was something else.
i have read that before labor you release cytokines the same they get released before your period. Lo and behold before my period I get period flu and feel washed out so it’s possibly my body reacting to the balance of hormones and inflammation.

also we can’t forget we’re carrying around a whole human being 🤣

I’m similar! I’m 39 weeks today and my sickness from earlier in the pregnancy has come back, I’m sick most days. And just so physically exhausted. I sat on the stairs earlier holding up prints for my boyfriend to mail into the walls and even that small action made me so hot and breathless! I have good sleeps but still nap for about two hours in the afternoon. It’s hard going isn’t it!
