It does look positive but the test looks really old given how yellowed the screen is?

Duiprinelloo · 07/08/2025 07:45

Could be, very thin line though. I'd want to confirm with FRER.

UmberAnt · 07/08/2025 07:52

it been like this since I done it, didn’t take the picture til 2 days later

I think this might be an indent.

These tests are so bad, it's actually sad people waste money on them. If you could get any cheap test with pink lines (and it doesn't have to be a FRER, they also give lots of indents!), it would be much more accurate.

Duiprinelloo · 07/08/2025 08:12

If it's now 2 days later, just do another test today

UmberAnt · 07/08/2025 08:12

Okay thankyou for your advice @Duiprinelloo

It looks like an indent sorry. I’ve had so many of those over the years! Update us if you do another test xxx

The test looks invalid, when is/was your period due?

Get a pink dye test and use it with your first wee in the morning. Hope you get the answer you want Flowers

UmberAnt · 07/08/2025 08:42

My last period was the 9th July

How regular are your periods, do you track so you can see when the next one is/was due?

UmberAnt · 07/08/2025 08:50

Yeah and it says 14th August my next period

Personally I wouldn’t take that as a positive. It looks too thin. So could well be an evap. If it’s been two days since you took it off you ARE pregnant another test would be darker now so take another one that uses pink dye or a digital to confirm

I don't think that's positive either - did anything show up when you initially did it? The line is too thin.

UmberAnt · 07/08/2025 10:24

If that date is correct (and unless you track ovulation you won’t know for definite as apps only guess) then 2 days ago was too early to get a positive as well. That would be 9 days before your period which is far too early for a true positive. (Obviously if you ovulate earlier than normal then it could happen. But it would mean your period would be due earlier)

In that case at the time of taking the test in your OP you would only have been a couple of days post ovulation (your period is 14 days after ovulation). Pink dye tests are more sensitive than blue dye tests and even on a pink dye test it would be unlikely to get a positive that early.

It’s probably still quite early to test, ideally wait until the 14th, or if you really can’t wait test again on the 11th/12th/13th with a pink dye test and your first wee in the morning.

If you are trying to conceive then I recommend tracking ovulation as well as your periods. If you are not trying to conceive I wouldn’t worry about the test in your OP as it’s highly unlikely to be a true positive.

Good luck OP Flowers

Theres a conception board you might find useful on here, if you need any advice on tracking cycles etc. There’s usually some longer running support threads for those TTC to chat and support each other.
