Ive had really mild tingling since I found out I was pregnant. (5/6 weeks along)

A couple of times I've had more painful cramps.

Today I woke up and for about 10 mins its was really uncomfortably painful. I had to move about and felt hot and nauseous.

I dont really get period pains, so I have no way to know if my cramps are mild, moderate or severe because I've never felt much before.

I'm so scared I'm losing my baby. Please can people tell me how much cramping is normal cramping??

No spotting or bleeding.

I did IVF to conceive and there’s the same TWW but I was very aware of every symptom I had. Every twinge. On day 14 the clinic do a blood test to confirm pregnancy, or sadly confirm you’re not pregnant. The morning of the test I had period like cramps, lower back pain and then, for me normal, diarrhea. I was gutted and convinced it hadn’t worked again. Off I went to the clinic with a tampon in my bag ready, for them to tell me I was pregnant! I didn’t believe it! I was so sure I was experiencing the start of my period but nope! Your body goes through many hormonal changes and your body reacts differently. The hot and nausea started for me at 6weeks. I hope the morning sickness goes quickly for you! The cramps could be the embryo implanting a little deeper into the uterine wall, your womb stretching to make itself bigger for the baby, or just hormones ramping up etc. Obviously go and see a Doctor for peace of mind, if you feel you need it.
Good Luck 🍀💞

I went to the hospital for a scan due to cramping with my first and all was fine. There are loads of reasons why you get cramps and twinges in pregnancy and you feel it a lot more with your first. There’s SO much going on! And it feels very similar to period cramps which is disconcerting. It’s very normal but if you’re worried get a scan!

No spotting is a great sign :) but even if you do have a bit of spotting that can be normal too.

congratulations!

I'm also about 5/6 weeks along and am getting the occasional cramps, mostly pretty mild but sometimes quite a bit stronger. It can feel worse if you're bloated or if you've just eaten, there are all sorts of things that can affect the intensity of the cramps and as other people have said it's normal as your body is making a huge adjustment. And again as others have said, it's a good sign that you're not getting spotting or bleeding, but if you do that can be normal too.

I totally get your anxieties though, I'm guessing from your username you were trying for a while? It took us 17 cycles to finally fall pregnant so with every twinge I feel my mind goes straight to the worst scenario. Do you have an early scan booked in? It might be good for peace of mind.

Thanks guys. This kept me sane…or no more crazy than I've always been at least.

Just for anyone who searches for this thread - the cramping has eased up. Now 7 weeks, so far so good🤞.
