MatB1 form

Hi.

Just wondering if anyone can advise please?

I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. I had my last midwife appt at 17weeks and next one is at 28weeks. I am seeing a consultant at 24 weeks.

My employer is pushing to get my MatB1 form at 25 weeks. I’ve called my midwife and she won’t issue it without an appt and they’re fully booked. The midwife has said the consultant can issue it at my 24 week appt but a different midwife said it had to come from my community midwife.

I’m feeling a bit confused so if anyone has some pointers, I’d be very grateful!

I’ve had this in every pregnancy. Work just had to wait until my 28 week appointment and get over it.

I’m not sure what your midwife’s issue is, any community midwife can issue your MatB1 once you are over 20 weeks it doesn’t even need to be your midwife, you don’t need an appointment they can just send it to you in the post x

I got mine in the post at around 25weeks.

Your gp can give you one

That sounds odd as in your second pregnancy you don’t have a 25 week appointment so have to get it without seeing a midwife anyway? My midwife left mine with my gp receptionist.

I needed my MatB1 earlier as my employer was being a bit difficult so just called the community midwife, they booked an appointment and it took less than 5 mins to do.
No idea why they aren't being accommodaring for you?
