TTC - Clearblue Ovulation test

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat…

I’m currently TTC baby number 3 and using the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor.

I had a miscarriage back in February, and it’s been an emotional few months. I did go for a private scan recently and they said everything looks healthy, which was really reassuring and good to know.

Last cycle, I had an 8-day period. When the monitor prompted me to start testing, I had a couple of “Low” days, followed by “High” and then finally a “Peak.” Sadly, my period arrived, so no pregnancy that time.

This cycle, my period was only 3 days. When I started testing again, it jumped straight to “High” from the first day, and I’m now on day 8 of continuous “High” readings—still no “Peak.”

I’ve been getting some ovulation symptoms like mild cramping, sore boobs, and that general “something’s happening” feeling. I’ve also had a bit of discharge—not loads, but enough to notice.

It’s just a bit frustrating because last month my partner was away, so we only managed one of the “Peak” days. This month we’ve been trying every “High” day… just waiting for that “Peak” to show up!

Has anyone else had a long stretch of “High” readings without getting a “Peak”? Did you still ovulate in the end?

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I had the same last year and I know how painful it is trying to get pregnant again. I personally found those clear blue tests absolutely rubbish. I paid to see a private consultant and he told me to throw them all away as they cause stress and just have sex every other day. After 6 months of obsessively trying I got pregnant the next month and due any day now. Good luck!

Oh congratulations! You’re right the tests do make it stressful. Thank you for commenting and sharing your story. I need to relax more! x
