afternoon all…
has anyone experienced a missed misscarriage before but continued to have strong pregnancy symptoms…
I’m due to have a scan tomorrow (8.5/9 weeks)
Ive got this awful feeling I’m going to be told there’s no heartbeat.

maybe fear from previous 10+ miscarriages.

Ive still got sore boobs and feeling sick daily, absolutely exhausted(feeling lazy) im off food it repulses me and even struggling to drink anything.
i know with ‘mm’ symptoms normally rapidly disappear I’m just looking for a bit of hope from someone.

maybe when you had it your symptoms disappeared and that’s how you knew something was wrong ect..

obviously won’t know until tomorrow but I’m just thinking the worst…

I bled at 6 weeks yet baby was fine with a heartbeat. I didn't feel pregnant before my dating scan as my symptoms have been mild and it's still there. Try to not overthink until you get the scan. I know it's hard, I'm trying to stay positive myself while waiting for 20 week scan.

I don't know that anyone can give you genuine reassurance because there are so many variables.

I have been through this.

Just look after yourself today. If you have time do something relaxing for your well-being.

Symptoms or not don’t mean anything unfortunately. With missed miscarriages hormone levels continue to rise as your body thinks it’s still pregnant so you can get symptoms. With natural miscarriages hormones drop as your body has realised the pregnancy isn’t viable. I found out I had a MMC at 7 weeks. Baby measuring 5. Had to wait 2 weeks for a rescan. In those two weeks my symptoms continued to get worse. After surgery to remove I still had symptoms for 2 weeks while hormones dropped.

But as it stands there’s no reason to think you’ve had a MMC. Plenty of women have zero symptoms and have a healthy pregnancy. Good luck!

As others have said, unfortunately there's no way to know for sure until your scan. I've had 4 MMCs, all pregnancies with differing levels of symptoms, and the symptoms for me have always continued until I've had surgical management each time.
But there's no reason to believe that you will have an MMC this time. It's just a case of wait and see. Fingers crossed all is ok for you x

Sorry you've been through so much.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I think it’s natural after 10 losses to go into a scan expecting to be told the worst

Unfortunately I am one of those woman who had strong pregnancy symptoms and still had a missed miscarriage. I had horrendous morning sickness, went into my scan the next day and both twins had passed

The only way you can tell is from your scan, sending love and good luck
