Went for private scan today and measured 6.7mm/ 6 weeks 3 days, but there was no heartbeat
they said to rescan in 2 weeks

from what I’ve read online this doesn’t sound good 😞

anyone experience this?
😢

Take their advice, re scan in 2 weeks for certainty.

All the very best x

I had a scan at 7 weeks (ivf baby) and was told that week 7 was the earliest to properly detect a heart beat so you may be a little early.

Did you have a transvaginal ultrasound? They are more reliable and commonly used at picking up a heartbeat in the first few weeks compared to the over your abdomen type ultrasound which is used to detect a heartbeat from 7 weeks onwards.

It may not seem like a huge difference but 4 days is huge in terms of early fetal development.

@spamOFtheDAY this seems a useful guide

This related to heartbeat may reassure?

Thanks everyone
yes it was TV ultrasound at window to the womb

I’m booked in for another scans next week (7 weeks 4 days) but not expecting a good outcome 😔
