Does anyone have a silvercross cove?

Hi,

I'm looking at prams and have been drawn to the silvercross cove as it is quite lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. However my two concerns are 1. The frame feels a bit cheap/ not sturdy and 2. The bassinet is a bit "bouncy" when going over gravel (I tested it in the grounds of the pram shop).
Does anyone have one and can offer some honest insight?

Tia x

We have just bought the Silvercross Cove. Baby isn’t due until early October so we haven’t tested it out properly yet however we’re impressed with the built quality. It’s designed to be used on multiple surfaces rather than just pavements which is what drew us to it.

Just one word of warning is that the customer service from Silvercross has been terrible! We ordered direct from Silvercross and the package turned up with only 2 rear wheels. Additionally the carrycot stand we were sent didn’t have the adapters in the box to enable the Cove carrycot to be attached to it. It took several weeks of back and forth emails asking for photos and videos to prove we were missing parts to resolve it. We have not received any apology at any point from Silvercross which has left us disappointed as it wasn’t a cheap purchase.

I've read mixed reviews online about their customer service! That's such a shame to hear. Hope I never need to deal with them!!

What colour did you go for in the end? My local shop only had the maple to sample but there's some other nice ones online.

We have also ordered the cove for a baby due in October.

I think you will be fine with the gravel. We ended up choosing it specifically for its “off-road” ability. Locally, we have an unpaved walking route that the lady in the shop recommended this pram for. It had much better suspension that all but 1 other pram we looked at. (Sorry I can’t remember that pram’s name, but I was super bulky).

My concern is, I don’t think it can be folded with the bassinet or seat on it? I feel like that’s the mistake we made. I can see us ending up with a travel buggy pretty quickly.

We just went for black. Probably a bit boring! 😂

We viewed it at John Lewis but ordered direct from Silvercross because there was a 10% if you signed up to their mailing list.

When it was demonstrated to us in the shop it could be folded with the seat on it but not the carrycot. I wasn’t too concerned because the carrycot clips off easily and it won’t be used for too long.

I agree with the previous poster. We were also shown how it can be folded with the seat on it.

Have you found that the handle is quite wobbly/rattly? I have received our Cove this week and the only problem I am finding is that the extendable handle rattles/wobbles a lot. Just wondering if this is a fault with my pram or to be expected in all prams?

We’ve been using our pram for a month now and I hadn’t noticed that the handle wobbled despite using it lots. I’ve just given it a shake and it does wobble a bit but I hadn’t noticed it before.

Lilyhan · 08/12/2025 10:02

I sold my silver cross cove and got a different travel system as it was useless on "all terrain" it struggled on some pavements!
Its so pretty but doesn't seem robust enough and the handle isn't nice to hold for a long time.

Sallyp376 · 10/12/2025 13:10

This is interesting, we have had the exact same issue! No front wheels or adapters. Silvercross were really helpful with the front wheels and sent more, but had to go through the retails shop for adapters. Happy with the pram but it is extremely heavy, the car seat also extremely heavy. Not ideal if recovering from surgery. First baby so can’t compare to other prams x

BellaRosex · 11/12/2025 06:55

I ended up going with silvercross cove and we love it! I am a petite girl and find it really lightweight. Love the one handed steering too - helpful when walking with a coffee.
