My lines don’t seem to be progressing and I haven’t had a dye stealer yet. Very worried as I’ve been ttc 13 years I hope this is my chance.

Tests arent designed for progression. Nobody can tell you whether you will have a chemical or not.

Uphighseesky · 03/08/2025 07:31

Those are all positive tests and that's the most you can take from them.

I would recommend stopping testing.

cannynotsay · 03/08/2025 07:35

Just to repeat, there’s no such thing as progressive lines and people need to realise that

LauraP94 · 03/08/2025 08:44

Sorry to hear you’ve had a long journey TTC.

I would step away from the tests and assume that as long as you’re not bleeding then all is well.

For now you are pregnant and it’s more likely to end in a baby than not.

Baby26 · 03/08/2025 09:05

Although I didn't test with this brand, my tests were very faint when I had my chemical, it didn't really look like this. I know it's hard but I'd take a break from testing. Re-test in a few days. Daily testing isn't recommended, but every other day at the most.

Thank you all for commenting. I know I’m overthinking it’s just you see so many videos on TikTok it makes me panic. Doctors won’t do bloods either as they said it’s pointless. I’ll just wait and see.

OP you say 13 years TTC, what help/interventions/tests have you received in that time?

Ivf4203 · 03/08/2025 09:52

Hi OP. I was exactly in your position a few months ago because although I had strong positives with FRER they don’t seem to progress and some even look a tiny bit fainter compared to the day before. I drove myself and husband into panic. Our IVF consultant (private) requested hcg blood tests and confirmed doubling every 48-72hrs. In fact on the day I thought FRER was fainter, my blood hcg actually doubled. I stopped testing using hpt since. I never had a dye stealer with FRER. My lines looked exactly like yours.
If your dcotor refuses a blood test, try to wait until you are 7 weeks and have a private scan. It doesn’t cost that much. That will be the more reliable than a blood test and I hope you see a heartbeat.
Good luck OP i know how tough this is but hang in there.

Ginnygi · 03/08/2025 10:02

I don't think FRERs progress well so wouldn't worry about them.

To others saying line progression is not a thing.... Strange that I got no or poor progression with my three chemicals and great progression with pregnancies getting further along. It's best not to speak about something you have no clue about.

Tiktok has a lot to answer for

ambergallagher94 · 03/08/2025 10:12

I’ve had untold bloods, scans, MRI, 3 lap surgeries and this was my fourth round of letrozole and metformin next step was ivf for us. Not eligible for nhs because he has a child from previous.

Thank you. I’ve got to go to the EPU at 6.5 weeks to check as I’ve been under fertility treatment for years. Just praying it sticks. The whole ttc is so mentally exhausting.

Yeah, as a PP said, there definitely is. I've fallen pregnant 4 times. Once was a chemical. That time there was no progression. Just a faint line every day, until it faded away to nothing and I started to bleed. With my other 3, the line did indeed progress as expected. But I would recommend to test every other day, as there can be little progression shown by testing daily.

Ivf4203 · 03/08/2025 12:25

@Baby26 sorry for your loss. In chemical though, the lines will be significantly fainter. OP’s images are all strong although there is no progression or ‘dye stealer’. Based on those images, I doubt it’s a chemical.

Good luck with your scan OP, all fingers crossed for you.

Baby26 · 03/08/2025 13:01

@Ivf4203 yes, this is what I said in my post too - that this does not look like a chemical. I was explaining to another poster that there is such a thing as progressive lines, as they said there wasn't.

Early3Rise · 03/08/2025 15:55

Looks perfect to me.

My FRERs didn't get progressively darker, they varied each day. I didn't get a dye stealer for ages. Definitely past 19dpo.

It depends on your urine concentration, the time of day, the amount of dye in the tests...

I was so worried my tests weren't progressing linearly but toddler DD currently is causing mayhem in our conservatory!

Your lines looks great x
