hey, I’m 10 weeks went for an early scan today and she saw a cyst on my left ovary, she says it’s small at about 3cm…
Never had a cyst before

obviously I’ve googled🙈 and made myself anxious of anything going wrong/needing surgery

has anyone else gone through this? What was your outcome?

Did you ask what type? A corpus lutem cyst can occur during pregnancy, it may well go on its own.
Unfortunately i had a cysts rupture at 6 weeks and needed emergency surgery, hopefully wont come to that for you and will naturally go. If you get severe pain, go to a&e, if not mention at your 20 week scan to see if it’s got bigger/smaller etc.

I had one bigger one, very common. Normally absorbs at 12 weeks, mind did. Just ask at your 12 week scan to check.

Oh and alot of women get cysts every month! But never know unless they rupture, most reabsorb.

Thank you! I didn’t even know there were different types until after wards when I googled it, she said just to mention it at my 12 week scan to keep an eye on if it’s getting bigger etc x

Hey, I’m 15 weeks pregnant and have an 11cm dermoid cyst. So far hasn’t caused me any obvious issues, hospital have basically said they will leave it and remove it post-birth
worst case scenario is it could torsion..but I’m just hoping that won’t happen 😂
