So I’m early in my pregnancy and keep doing silly things like putting hand sanitizer in the fridge saying things backwards and getting butter out when making a tea🤣

anyone else do stupid stuff like this or is it just me?

I feel like I’m too early to be doing these things🤣🤣

It's just you... I was negotiating multi-million dollars contracts at 37 weeks pregnant just fine.

Presumably this is your first child

Yes it is! - when does the “baby brain” etc start?

Yes, i have been! I went to put my bag in the fridge although what i actually wanted to do was put the milk away😅

It does happen and baby brain is very real.

Regardless of whether its your 1st or 5th child, baby brain is known and you arent on your own x

I also worked, perfectly competently, throughout pregnancy.

Don’t do yourself down by talking about baby brain.

Oh thank goodness it isn’t just me😭 thought I might be going crazy! Thank you for the support - I got pregnant through IVF so it’s been a journey already - 2nd round was successful and we have our 7 week scan on Friday!

any advice you could give me at all to do with pregnancy? Like my morning sickness comes in waves throughout the day but idk what to do about it

Its clear you are excited - congrats!

For me when I hadn't had more than 3 hrs unbroken sleep for a few months.

But that was sleep deprivation because i dont subscribe to the derogatory and patriarchal term "baby brain".

Regarding morning sickness
Get some ginger biscuits or ginger ale / kombucha and try to eat small and regular meals carbs and sugar help.

If you are vomiting see the gp they sometimes prescribe anti emetics

Congratulations, it's all so exciting! I'm 22 weeks now so my morning sickness has stopped but what helped for me was to keep snacking, if I let myself get too hungry then I'd feel sick, then I couldn't eat and I'd feel even worse. Ginger biscuits and peppermint tea are good, but I drank so much ginger beer that just looking at it now makes me feel a bit off.
I don't think I've had baby brain yet except for going to a meeting an hour early one time, but other than that just being very tired to start with might be what's making you struggle to focus and then do silly things ☺️

Oh congratulations that’s so exciting and yes I’m on the finer biscuits now but just bought some ginger and lemon tea and hate it😭

thank you so much!
