Hi all I am currently pregnant with my first baby so feel completely overwhelmed and full of anxiety during these first few scary weeks.
I just wanted some advice on the tummy pain I am experiencing and if this sounds normal or if I should be concerned, I have a dull stomach ache most of the time and often feel as if someone is pinging an elastic band in my tummy if this makes sense! Recently I’ve been experiencing sharp pains in the left side of my tummy especially at night time when moving positions, it also really hurts to sneeze. This morning the tummy ache was particularly bad and felt like bad period pains and had me doubled over for a short period of time before it subsided. Is this all normal or should I phone my local hospital to request an early scan? I don’t like to make a fuss and just feel clueless as to what is normal and what isn’t as I’ve never done this before!
Thanks so much for reading and I’d appreciate any advice at all 😊

I had some twinges here and there but nothing compared to period pains. It was also only on one side and it turned out to be the side DS implanted on.

What I’ve learnt is pregnancy is different for everyone but trust your gut if something feels off call EPU.

If your worried then always check, my midwife always told me they'd rather check and it be nothing than leave it and it be something.
i had pains in the first few weeks of both pregnancies but more so my first, I was told it was probably just everything stretching and moving to make room for growing baby, they grow pretty quickly in those first few weeks so your body goes through a lot of fast changes.

Always get checked out if unsure but look up Round Ligament Pain, it's a sharp pain lasting a few seconds when you move sneeze or cough. I get it all the time since 5 or 6 weeks and I'm now 32 weeks pregnant. 3rd baby and I remember on my first baby it made me panic I didn't know what it was.
