Hey, has anyone ever had a loss of symptoms aftwr being ill? I’ve had a fever / head cold the last few days and now I feel like my symptoms have vanished, don’t know if I’m thinking too much into it but just seeing if anyone’s ever been in the same situation as me?

Hi OP. My symptoms were on and off in the first trimester. If you don’t have bleeding or severe cramps, it’s usually fine. If you are worried and can’t wait for your 12 wk scan, you can get a private reassurance scan (like I did!). Window to the Womb scans are quite good value. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply!, I have a private scan on Saturday so just trying to make it though, but have my first midwife appointment on Thursday morning thankfully, just thought I’d ask in here for others opinions but thank you! So scary the first trimester😂 x

Hi @weelouxoxo the same thing happened me at 8 weeks...all symptoms disappeared. They soon resurfaced at 9 weeks but all was well with baby. Good luck with your scan.

@Eagerlywaiting1990thank you, reassuring to know it’s common, think because I’ve been so unwell the last few days I’ve panicked a bit 😂 x

My symptoms- nausea, tiredness- disappeared around 8 weeks and I didn't have any symptoms from then on with either of my dc.

My symptoms stopped around 9/10 weeks with both pregnancies. I have two healthy kiddos!

I had symptoms from 8 weeks and they continued right through till 20 weeks with first and entire pregnancy with second. Ended up with hyperemesis and my goodness that is dreadful. Good luck OP

I had very mild symptoms around 6 weeks, which completely - I mean completely - vanished from week 7. I'm now 8+4 and my last scan at 7+5 was fine. I wasn't ill, but had bleeding so was 100% certain the loss of symptoms was a bad sign, but it turned out it meant nothing.
