My daughter wants to return to the UK to have her baby. She is ineligible for free NHS care as she has lived overseas all her adult life. Her preference is to deliver in a private wing linked to a NHS facility in case things go wrong. We are aware that any NHS care would be billed as private care. Any ideas within a 30 minute drive from Windsor?

Not sure about the private wing, but I gave birth 3 years ago in Frimley via NHS and the care was good.
Stay away from Wexham via NHS. They nearly killed a friend of mine. And then tried to cover it up. It's not even that much closer time-wise (although closer on a map)

It’s nearer 45 minutes than 30, but I believe you can have private care through the Royal Surrey in Guildford. I’ve had two of mine with them (though NHS not private) and they were really excellent. My first was at Frimley actually and I didn’t have a brilliant experience but I know they’re well regarded so hopefully I was an outlier!

hi @biscuitcat can you tell me a bit more about the private care at royal surrey? all i can see is that you can have a private room but didn't know you could get full care there privately!
