Early pregnancy clothing recs!

I’m in first trimester but already feel bloated and uncomfortable in jeans. I have no idea what to wear but would like something quite loose and stretchy or flowy - particularly as I don’t want people to know I’m pregnant yet..

any recs on good and reasonably priced clothing? Thanks!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
The bloat comes on all too quick doesn't it?! People told me I looked more pregnant than I did before I was even 12 weeks lmao. I lived in leggings and stil do haha, but it sounds like linen trousers might be a good fit for you, or any other kind of flarey summer trousers? I guess you also can't go wrong with dresses!

I'm 13wks but first trimester was a cheap pair of jeans in the size up, then leggings, linen trousers (drawstring amazing!) or elasticated wide trousers from m&s if I needed to go into office.

Make the most of it being summer and get a nice flowy dress that doesn't cling to you. Feeling bloated at the same time as feeling knackered and nauseous is hellish!

also - was there any pre natal vitamins you took? I have to wait 10 days for a midwife apt and the internet is a confusing place!

You need to take something with folic acid and ideally vitamin d, it should be easy to find! I took one from Boots but im in the UK, where are you? Your midwife will probably check that you're taking it.

BTW maybe install Flo app? It was so helpful to me during pregnancy

Definitely a few flowy dresses for out of the house, and leggings and big t-shirts for in the house.

Uniclo do such comfortable gingham draw string trousers. Linen trousers. I just bought some jean like things from M&S that are stretchy and still trendy. Also got some abercrombie low rise jeans that sit under the belly. Otherwise, I live in flowy dresses from asos and free people and if you want to splurge, Daughters of India do amazing dresses that are perfect for the whole pregnancy. Oh and Molby do some dresses that you can customise to be breastfeeding friendly (if needed). X

For first trimester I just got a button extender from eBay. Suddenly jeans are comfy again.

the floaty dresses from nobody’s child are so comfortable at this stage of pregnancy! And you can wear them afterwards. H&M has a good sale on at the moment and today I just picked out a good amount of leggings and jeans. Mamalicious is good too :)

I recent got a few pairs of elasticated waist trousers from H&M as I was the same, jeans all way too tight… been wearing with baggy graphic T-shirts and have been so comfy x
