Hi All,

I’m currently 37 weeks + 4 days pregnant but really struggling to find a name for my little boy. My last name is only three letters but could do with some help please :)

1st - Henry
2nd - Theo
3rd - Isaac (I’ve noticed a lot of people struggle to spell this name)

I’m heading more towards Henry and then use one of the other names for his middle name. I’m just worried overall that his name will be too short (first and last name together).

My mum said she didn’t have mine and my siblings names picked out fully until she saw us after birth.

Could you let me know which one you prefer?

Not Theo. Very overused.

Theo is the only one there that is a nickname, if you pick that I'd go for Theodore.

Do you want other name suggestions or best of that bunch?

Prince Harry is really a Henry.
And so is my dcat!!
Swerve it imo.

I prefer Henry of the three. It's a classic name. Theo is pleasant but very popular and Isaac is one of those names that, to me, feels a bit meh.

It sounds like you like slightly softer names. I'd suggest something like Lucas, Marcus, Silas, Cassian, Joshua, Samuel, Jasper, or Robin. Ossian is one of my favourites (pick your local spelling and pronunciation) but a bit trickier to use.

Henry probably out of those options. I have 2 boys and names I liked included - Nathaniel, Lucas, Joshua, Samuel, Nicholas, Alexander, Ethan, Cameron, Blair, Lewis, Nathan, Liam

I prefer Henry . I feel like every other child atm is a Theo .

I like Isaac and Henry.

Most people with a modicum of intelligence can spell Isaac.
Don't choose a name just to make things easy for people who are not very literate.

Isaac 💙

wafflesmgee · 26/07/2025 21:03

Love Henry the most then Isaac, least keen on Theo

JuniperandI · 26/07/2025 21:47

Henry, my nephew is Henry and he's the best ❤

tangobravo · 26/07/2025 22:16

Id go with a long name for a short surname. Christopher, Joshua, Benjamin, Nathaniel etc

Yeah, just today in the space of an hour we heard two Theo’s and a Teddy being called by their parents.

Theodore is everywhere.

OopsieeDaisy · 26/07/2025 22:55

Henry is lovely. Theo is nice if short for Theodore but as others have said, it is very popular just now which may or may not bother you. Henry Theodore goes nicely?
I’m not as keen on Isaac but I wouldn’t let some people not being able to spell it out you off!

Painrelief · 27/07/2025 00:26

If you like Theo maybe youl like Thiago which is different .

Pregnantandlookingforadvice · 27/07/2025 16:00

Thanks everyone - think it will definitely be Henry but we shall see when he’s born :)

I prefer Isaac but that was one of our names although we didn't go with it in the end
