Maternity clothes (shops not online!)

Looking for recommendations for affordable maternity clothes from shops that aren’t just online! It’s annoying how many have maternity sections online but not in the actual shop!

And has anyone ordered maternity clothes from shein? If so how did you find them?

thanks :)

I agree it’s very annoying!

A really huge H&M sometimes has a good maternity range.

This was the bane of my life recently. I looked hard but couldn't find anywhere with an in-store maternity section 😖 In the end I gave up and bought from Vinted, which to be fair does have a lot of good stuff.

Never found any in shops which was hugely frustrating but managed to find decent stuff online at both new look and H&M. Never got on with vinted myself as never really seem to find stuff in my size but know plenty of others who have found stuff on there. I suppose the other good thing about buying online from H&M and new look was that if they weren’t suitable I could return them in store really easily. I’d say let me know if you find any stores let me know but I’m having my baby next week so the ship has kind of sailed for me 🤣 good luck!

There are none where I live. Last pregnancy we had a Jojo Maman Bebe but I didn’t really like their stuff and it has closed down. I brought some at an H&M in a large city in Switzerland but don’t know if any of their UK stores stock them. Ended up having to return a lot of stuff last time as I’m always an awkward fit for clothes even when not pregnant.

You can find some bits in larger H&M stores, occasionally New Look and Next. Although most of the stuff from Next is now branded like JoJo etc and 4 X the price!
Ill be honest, Ive bought a fair few bits from Shein.
Ive never bought from there before and prob wont again but the maternity bits I have bought all fit well and Ive had no issues with it.
Plus its cheap as I wont be using it again!
1 top from Next in the maternity section set me back £35 which is a joke.

I'm in a city with quite a few shops and the only place that has a maternity section is H&M, and even then it's very small.

Really you are probably gonna have to buy some online.

Don't use Shein though, they are awful.

For basics I just went for H&M online and Amazon, and a few bits from supermarkets (George online are quite good but I've never seen an actual maternity section in an Asda!)

I got a few nicer bits from Mamalicious, Seraphine and JoJo (in the sales!)

Vero Moda and Vertbaudet are also worth a look.

There's loads of summer sales on at the moment so it's a good time to get stuff from nicer shops for a bit less.

But yeah - the high street offer is pitiful - just not realistic to get everything IRL unfortunately. Even M&S don't really do maternity stuff anymore other than bras.

I did buy a couple of things IRL that were just sizing up in regular clothes - you don't need special maternity versions of everything. If it has an elasticated waist or a relaxed fit anyway, you will prob be OK with a size or two bigger!
