Pregnant, positive test but short cycles, is it possible?

I average 25 day cycles and have been feeling rotten and it wasn’t normal for my usual PMS so took a test today, second line came up within seconds and then darkened within the time window.

according to flo I’m only 3 weeks 2 days pregnant, I would have thought it would be too early to get a positive. Has anyone else tested positive at 3 weeks? I’m a bit nervous due to previous MC at 6 weeks but trying to see this as new pregnancy and things will be ok.

Hi @SausageDogMum95 that’s a great line. 25 days isn’t a particularly short cycle by any means. Ovulation can obviously vary person to person, but you probably ovulated around cycle day 10-11.
3 weeks 3 days since your last period makes you cycle day 24, so (approximately) 13 DPO. I’d say that’s a good line for 13DPO.
Obviously no one can ever say how the pregnancy is going to go, and a MC at 6 weeks will naturally make you more cautious, but for now it looks as though you are where you want to be.
Try to live in the moment as much as you can as the rest is now out of your control.
Congratulations!

It more depends when you ovulated rather than when your last period was. 3 weeks 2 days in a standard cycle would be 9dpo. People do get positive tests that early.

Just to add on the other side of things. My cycles were around 25 days, the cycle I conceived I ovulated on day 18, bled as expected day 25 for 4 days. I tested positive on day 3 of what I thought was my period. I'm now 14 weeks. So definitely possible and by the looks of the test you ovulated earlier in the cycle which I assume would give a better chance. So fingers crossed it sticks for you x

25 days isn't tooo short for a cycle, and I found out I was pregnant at exactly 3 weeks (9 dpo) so honestly not unreasonable x
