Lifting heavy objects early pregnancy

Hey, so might sound paranoid! But second pregnancy, found out today and only 3 weeks so very early. I was collapsing my son’s doona chair and when I went to lift it up into the car I get an awful pain across my stomach. Pain started to radiate on my left side going up my stomach too (this is what prompted me to take a test). Only like this for a few hours, but obviously super worried I’ve done something to harm this pregnancy already. Just wondering if anyone has any advice/words of wisdom? Tia x

I continued lifting weights (40-60 kilos) until the third trimester where I reduced them quite significantly, all the way to 25 kilos few days before giving birth. You’ll be fine.

As long as you are lifting weights you can usually lift that's fine. I've been moving boxes and bags of soil and things like that all through my pregnancy. I'm 30 weeks now and find I'm having to be careful with my body position when lifting but able to lift my 16kg 5yo without issue
Keep an eye on the pain however, as sharp pains can indicate an ectopic pregnancy.
